Heart failure is the leading cause of death in the United States, and five million people in the U.S are living with heart failure. This disease accounts for 12 to 15 million physician office visits per year and 6.5 million hospital days. In July, St. John Hospital and Medical Center received full Heart Failure Accreditation status from the Society of Chest Pain Centers.
