Stuart J. Wertheimer, DPM, FACFAS

Stuart J. Wertheimer, DPM, FACFAS, a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery certified in foot and ankle surgery. He has been the Residency Program Director since July 1, 1978. Dr. Wertheimer’s academic accomplishments include membership in Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society as well as having received awards from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is a past member of the National Board of Podiatric Medical Examiners and served as president of this organization. In 1997, he was elected to the Council on Podiatric Medical Education and served on the Joint Residency Review Committee as well as having chaired this committee. In October of 2003, he was elected to Chair of the Council on Podiatric Medical Education. Dr. Wertheimer serves on the Board of Directors of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, having held the office of President. He is employed full-time by the sponsoring institution to oversee the residency program, the Podiatric Surgical Clinic, and the clerkship sponsored by the institution.
