ABOUT ST. JOHN HOSPITAL & MEDICAL CENTER
St. John Hospital and Medical Center is a 776-bed community hospital, which serves the Eastern Metropolitan Detroit area. St. John Hospital and Medical Center has fully approved residency programs in the Departments of:
Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Preliminary Surgery, Internal Medicine, Preliminary Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pathology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, and Transitional Year.
HOW TO APPLY FOR ROTATIONS:
Third Year Rotations:
Third Year core rotations are reserved for Wayne State University and St. George’s University students. Core placement is determined by the universities.
We do not offer 3rd year electives to allopathic students.
Osteopathic students interested in Pediatrics, please contact Anne Dwyer.
Senior Rotations:
Rotations are available to students from U.S. or affiliated universities. The only Caribbean Universities accepted are: SGU, AUC, and ROSS
For all students from U.S. or affiliated universities please fill out the rotation request form and fax to: (313) 343-7840.
Applications for the current academic year will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
Applications for the next academic year will not be accepted until May 1st and will not be processed until July 1st. If you are requesting a rotation for July/August we will contact you approximately six (6) weeks prior to the start of the rotation.
