Providence Radiology Services - Pyelogram (IVP) or Enterocylsis Exam Preparation

Day prior to appointment.

1. Normal lunch followed by clear liquids.

2. Around 7 p.m., take 1/2 bottle (1.5 ounces) Phosopho Soda followed by one eight ounce glass of water.

3. Drink one eight ounce glass of water every hour until bedtime or midnight.

4. Nothing to eat or drink after midnight except medications.

5. Patients having an IVP only may also drink up to 12 ounces of clear liquid on the morning of the exam.
