Providence Outpatient Nutrition Management Services
Our Outpatient Nutrition Management Services program is staffed by registered dietitians who offer one-to-one counseling and special programs to better meet client and community needs. We offer the following services:
Body fat analysis
A dietitian will use bio-impedence testing to help evaluate total lean muscle and body fat content. You will receive a full printed report with recommendations for diet and exercise to promote health. Optional counseling is available with one of our dietitians.
Computerized nutrition assessment
Find out how well-balanced your eating plan is. We will assess your three-day food diary for essential nutrients, including calorie intake and vitamin and mineral content. We will send you a printed report.
Weight management program
For individuals who require personalized information on weight modification, we provide individual counseling. A basic package includes an initial visit, three follow-up visits and four weight checks.
Individual nutrition counseling
Appointments are available for nutrition assessments and help with specific nutrition problems, such as obesity, high blood pressure and high cholesterol, diabetes, pediatric and women’s nutrition, sports medicine.
We sponsor classes throughout the community on various topics, including why fad diets don’t work, fast and healthy cooking, teen weight control, and getting to know food labeling.
