Profile
Dr. David is well known in the metro Detroit community for his leadership in the area of interventional cardiology, the non-surgical techniques used to treat and dissolve heart blockages. He has gone through special training to be certified in the following techniques: directional coronary atherectomy; flex stents; coronary stents; rotational atherectomy and advanced rotoblator atherectomy.
Currently the section chief of the division of Cardiology at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Dr. David has held many leadership positions in his industry, including president elect of the American Heart Association, board member of the American Heart Association – Detroit chapter, and district representative from the Michigan Chapter to the American College of Cardiology.
Dr. David has been widely published in the national medical literature and lectures worldwide on interventional cardiology topics. He earned his medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and received his residency and cardiology fellowship training at Providence. In addition, he completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Harper/Grace Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
