• SJH&MC has earned a Partner for Change Award in both 2010 and 2011 from Practice Greenhealth for environmental efforts.
• SJH&MC is named an Orthopedic Blue Distinction Center, Hip & Knee Replacements from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network.
• SJH&MC earns President’s Award from Keep Michigan Beautiful, Inc. for beautification efforts on Moross. 
• SJH&MC is one of the safest U.S. birthing centers, based on adverse event reporting from Harvard and the National Perinatal Information Center 
• SJH&MC named by National Association of IRB managers as one of the Top Ten institutions in the country for advances in continuing research.
• SJH&MC earns the following MPRO awards: Appropriate Care Measure Award, Surgical Care Improvement Project Award, Emergency Department Award.
•  SJH&MC named Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Blue Care Network Cardiovascular Center of Excellence.
• SJH&MC is a Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Surgery.
• SJH&MC is a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Level II Special Care Nursery.
• SJH&MC is a certified Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center as recognized by the American College of Surgeons.
• SJH&MC received a Services for Older Citizens Senior Friendly Business Award for 2009.
• SJH&MC Emergency Department has been accredited as a Chest Pain Center and a Heart Failure Center.
• The St. John Health System Breast Care Program receives accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
• SJH&MC Cord Blood program receives accreditation from FACT (Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy).
