St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital comprises two campuses: Macomb Center in Warren and Oakland Center in Madison Heights, MI. With 535 beds and a combined medical staff of more than 1200 physicians, both Centers are teaching hospitals with the full array of medical and surgical specialties, including Centers of Excellence in Cardiovascular Services, including open heart surgery, Cancer Care, Neurosciences, and Bariatric Surgery. In 2010, the hospital was honored by Thomson Reuters for the second year as one of the nation’s best for heart care, ranking among the top 50 in the U.S. The hospital is also recognized as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, and a Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacements, as well as Cardiac Care. Together, the two campuses have more than 80,000 emergency visits each year.

- A ThomsonReuters National Top 100 Cardiovascular Hospital winner and a Blue Distinction Center for Cardiac Care, including open-heart surgery, interventional cardiology, cardiac rehabilitation, and a nationally Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI.
- An Advanced Primary Stroke Center certified nationally by the Joint Commission.
- Cancer care at the Webber Cancer Center, the first program in Macomb County approved by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
- Women’s health services, including The Family Birthplace, a labor-delivery-recoverycouplet care unit, and a Breast Center, a program for comprehensive breast diagnostic services certified by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
- The Hip & Knee Replacement Center, an orthopedic program for joint replacement that has been designated a Blue Distinction Center by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network.
- St. John Providence Weight Loss, a national Center of Excellence accredited by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, whose board-certified bariatric surgeons have performed more than 6,000 weight loss surgeries.
- Progressive rehabilitation services in a dedicated inpatient unit
- Behavioral medicine that includes 24-hour assessment, adult inpatient and partial hospitalization programs, inpatient and outpatient therapy, and a specialized neuropsychiatric program.
- 24-hour emergency care at two sites provided by a team of board-certified emergency physicians.
