Electronic Forms pageThe St. John Hospital and Medical Center’s IRB Office has adopted the IRBNet suite of tools, bringing electronic protocol management and on-line submission features to the St. John Hospital and Medical Center research community. IRBNet is a secure web-based system which you can access from any computer where you have internet access.
The IRB Office will begin accepting electronic protocol submissions via IRBNet on May 29, 2010 for review during the July 15, 2010 IRB meeting. The IRB Office will no longer accept paper copies – all documentation will be handled electronically through IRBNet. All of the IRB submission forms will be available for your use via IRBNet and will no longer be found on this page.
As of May 29,2010, all protocol submissions (including initial applications, revisions, renewals, adverse events, closures, etc.) must be submitted electronically via IRBNet, and all IRB review decision letters will be issued electronically via IRBNet.
Getting Started:
If you have not already done so, the first step to accessing IRBNet is to register as a new user. The link is: www.IRBNet.org
It is crucial that when filling out your new user information, you identify your Local Institution as: St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit, MI.
Note:
· If you are from one of our component hospitals under this IRB’s oversight (such as St. John North Shores, St. John River District, St. John/Macomb) you must select St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit, MI as your local institution.
· Providence Hospital and Medical Center researchers already registered via IRBNet at Providence, who may be submitting projects to the St. John Hospital and Medical Center IRB as well should add St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit, MI as a new organization. This will allow you to submit documentation to the appropriate IRB.
To assist you, the good folks from IRBNet have created training “Energizers” that provide step-by-step teaching guides to using their system. You may download any of these Energizers for future reference.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the IRB Office at 313-343-8314.
