Are you “55 or Better” ? If so, we have a special invitation just for you. Join CareLink, a free resource throughout St. John Health. CareLink provides networked health education and wellness resources throughout six SJPHS hospitals, including St. John Hospital and Medical Center.

CareLink at St. John Hospital and Medical Center (SJH&MC)
CareLink Education program — Join us monthly on the second Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for a variety of topics planned specifically for those “55 or Better” (programs are not held in January and December.
Lunch with the Doctor Program — Join us on the first Monday in May and November at 11:30 a.m. for lunch (cost = $5) and a health-related lecture from Noon - 1 p.m. A variety of topics are offered specifically for those "55 or Better". The lecture is free.
CareLink Coordinator — Lea Anne Ivory, 313-343-7517, is your on-site resource for older adult-related questions and concerns at SJH&MC.
Volunteer CareLink Representatives — Volunteers welcome patients “55 or Better” Monday - Friday to introduce CareLink, explain benefits, answer questions and assist as needed.
Senior Speakers' Bureau Topics — Health care professionals are available to speak to older adult groups of 15 or more about a variety of health and wellness topics.
CareLink Parking Information at SJH&MC — Site map with detailed information about valet and self-park options and hours, multiple day parking passes, Guiding Stars Program.

Guiding Stars Program
Volunteers to guide you to your destination within St. John Hospital and Medical Center. Guiding Stars are available Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. For more information, call 313-343-3000, or enter the South Lobby and ask for a Guiding Star.
Volunteering is good medicine! SJH&MC offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities throughout the hospital, including opportunities with CareLink and Guiding Stars. Our hospital's ongoing volunteer needs include visiting patients, clerical assistance, gift shop, coffee shop, guiding patients, information desk and assisting with education programs.
