Hearing loss — America's largest, yet least recognized physical disorder — presents children, adults and their families with critical social and educational challenges. The need for language development, self-identity and positive interaction make it imperative that families affected by hearing loss receive intervention. 

Unfortunately, those who live in a world of silence are often forgotten because Deafness is invisible. For them, the emotional pain can be devastating. Children are particularly vulnerable.
