Dedicated Nurse Practitioner

Our goal is to support your patient through the HPB program, for this reason, Providence Hospital has a dedicated Nurse Practitioner who is responsible to streamline and coordinate the care of the HPB patients.

Functions of HPB Nurse Practitioner:

  • Act as a liaison between Surgery, Oncology, and Primary Care Provider (PCP)
  • Educate patients and families regarding their diagnosis and plan of care
  • Engage patients in navigating the complex health care system in a timely fashion
  • Drive appropriate follow up care
  • Ensure prompt surgical evaluation
  • Participate in the management of patient care to provide seamless care
  • Organize multidisciplinary evaluation, recommendations and subsequent approach to patient care
