The Advanced Cancer Group is for any cancer patient with a stage III or IV diagnosis. The focus is on peer support.

This group is for any woman currently diagnosed with breast cancer. Focus is on issues related to treatment and recovery, both physical and emotional. Sponsored by Candlelighters Foundation.

This group is for any family member or friend of a person diagnosed with cancer that needs a place to vent feelings and concerns.

If you have a stage III or IV diagnosis, please join our peer support group for discussion of the unique issues facing those living with advanced cancer.

This program provides free makeovers to cancer patients and their caregivers to just give a mental boost during their cancer journey. Classes are held every other month and alternate between our Southfield and Novi Cancer Centers. For registration information, call (248) 849-3243 for Southfield and (248) 849-5543 for Novi.

Look Good…Feel Better provides information and cosmetic advice to women battling cancer. This training includes hands-on instruction on makeup, skin care, and suggestions for using wigs, turbans, and scarves. It also includes tips on nail care while undergoing treatment.

Cosmetics are provided for your personal make-over. This program is free of charge and facilitated by trained, licensed cosmetologists – all American Cancer Society volunteers.

Look Good... Feel Better is a free program sponsored by the American Cancer Society in partnership with the National Cosmetology Association which helps women who are currently undergoing cancer treatment cope with appearance-related side effects including hair loss and changes in complexion and fingernails. It is offered in a group setting, with products generously donated by major cosmetic companies and is essentially a fun "make-over" session lead by a licensed cosmetologist. A program for women and teens experiencing appearance related side effects from chemotherapy or radiation treatment for any form of cancer.  Call 313-647-3300 for more information.

Wondering about available resources for yourself or a loved one during a cancer journey? In need of support for yourself or a loved one? Oncology social work services help with: transportation, community resources, emotional support, insurance, medications, and advocacy. Call 248-465-5466 for assistance or to schedule an appointment.

Monthly meetings are provided to educate and support patients and their families on fitness, nutrition, and stress reduction. For registration information, call Southfield (248) 849-3243 or Novi (248) 849-5543.
